Pi Potters

Keely Clarke grew up in the small town of Newcastle Emlyn in West Wales. Although always creative, she didnt truly embrace her love for clay until 2002 when she enrolled on a figurative course in Newport Gwent. She has since experimented with handbuilding, and throwing but found a true passion for quirky sculpture making that reflects her character, sense of humour and home environment. Keely uses a basic gas fired dustbin raku kiln with several sawdust reduction bins to create variations in glaze and smoke patternation. Her love of the raku firing process continues to grow through experimentation and practice.
