Hazel Morris

“I love the challenge of using different media, I would like to think that my work will continue to evolve and change over time”

Hazel Morris is a fine art painter who works and lives in Pembrokeshire. She works mainly with oils but also produces beautiful pen and ink pieces along with watercolours. She also works creatively with clay, making items with slab building as her preferred way of working. Her pieces are one of a kind and are from her own designs which are constantly evolving, making her pieces all slightly different. Her love of nature inspires her hand built vases and vessels which are imprinted with dried flowers and grasses. Hazel studied at Pembrokeshire College and received a National Diploma in Graphic Design in 2002. She also gained a First Class Degree in Fine Art at Carmarthen School of Art in 2005. Since graduating she has taught art classes for Learning Pembrokeshire and also tutors private groups. Clay work became a much loved artistic expression for Hazel while working at the Creative Cafe in Narberth where she has worked for 15 years. In more recent years Hazel has produced a much sort after selection of ceramics which are all hand made unique pieces.
